VISA

Please check if you are required to obtain a visa to enter Norway.

AIRPORT

Oslo Gardemoen Airport (OSL) is the closest to the city (22 min train ride).

NOTE: If yo are flying KLM or Air France, please note that they offer flights to two different airports nearby Oslo, serving both Oslo Gardemoen Airport (OSL) and Sandefjord Airport, Torp (TRF). It takes about 1½ hours from Sandefjord Airport, Torp (TRF) to downtown Oslo.

Travel directions with public transport:

Step 1: From Oslo Gardemoen Airport (OSL) to Oslo Central Station: 

Take the regional train (check: www.vy.no) to Oslo Central Station. Price: 124 NOK; the ticket is also valid on the metro.

Alternatively, take the Flytoget Airport Express Train (www.flytoget.no) to Oslo Central Station. The Flytoget train departs every 10 minutes and the journey takes about 20 minutes. This alternative is a bit more expensive (Price: 240 NOK; the ticket is not valid on the metro).

Step 2: From Oslo Central Station to Soria Moria Hotel:

  • From Oslo Central Station, transfer to the metro (T-bane).
  • Take Line 1 (Frognerseteren line) towards Frognerseteren.
  • Get off at Voksenkollen Station. The metro ride takes about 30 minutes.
  • From Voksenkollen Station, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take a taxi.
  • Walking directions: Head southwest on Voksenkollveien, continue onto Soria Moria hotel on Holmenkollveien 146.
  • The walk is about 1.2 km and takes around 15-20 minutes.

 How to get there by taxi:

Taxis are available directly from Oslo Gardermoen Airport. You can find taxis outside the arrivals area. The journey takes about 45 minutes depending on traffic and costs around 1500-2000 NOK. Ask for a fixed price.
